How do I subscribe to the BLS Email Subscription Service?

Subscribe to BLS Email Subscription Service by doing the following:

  1. Enter your email address in the “Subscribe to E-mail Updates” box at the top of the BLS Homepage and click the “GO” button

    OR point your browser to the following location: https://subscriptions.bls.gov/accounts/USDOLBLS/subscriber/new, enter your email address in the Email Address field, and then click on the “Submit” button.
  2. For subscribers already registered, the Topics page displays. If you have not registered, confirm your email by re-entering it.
    Note: This page also gives you the option to password-protect your subscription account by choosing and confirming a password.
  3. To complete your registration, click on the “Submit” button (Topics page displays).
  4. Subscribe to a News Release by checking the boxes; unsubscribe by un-checking the boxes.
  5. Click on the “Submit” button.

How do I password-protect my account?

If you wish to password-protect your account do the following:

  1. Log-in to the BLS Email Subscription Service.
  2. Click on the subscriber preferences link.
  3. In the Password section, enter your new password.
  4. Confirm your new password (To remove your password, click the Remove Password checkbox.).
  5. Click on the “Submit” button.

How do I add subscriptions to my account?

Add Subscriptions to your profile by doing the following:

  1. Log-in to the BLS Email Subscription Service.
  2. On the Topics page, subscribe by checking the boxes for the Topics you wish to add.
  3. Click on the “Submit” button. (An email will be forthcoming confirming your subscription change(s) has been successfully processed.).

How do I unsubscribe from a News Release or Notification Email Subscription?

Unsubscribe from a News Release or Notification Subscription by doing the following:

  1. Log-in to the BLS Email Subscription Service.
  2. On the Topics page, unsubscribe by un-checking the boxes for the Topics you wish to delete.
  3. Click on the “Submit” button. (An email will be forthcoming confirming your subscription change(s) has been successfully processed.).

How do I unsubscribe from the BLS Email Subscription Service?

Unsubscribe from the BLS Email Subscription Service by doing the following:

  1. Log-in to the BLS Email Subscription Service.
  2. Click on the unsubscribe from the BLS Email Subscription Service link.
  3. Click on the "OK" button to confirm that you wish to unsubscribe (An email will be forthcoming stating your request to unsubscribe from the BLS Email Subscription Service has been successfully processed.).

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Reset your password by doing the following:

  1. Log-in to the BLS Email Subscription Service.
  2. When you are presented with a password entry page, click on the Forgot your password? link to have a reset email sent to your email address (The email will contain a link allowing you to set a new password.).
  3. Enter your email address and click the “Submit” button.
  4. Retry the log-in process after setting a new password.

Whom should I contact if I do not receive my email subscription?

If you have subscribed to the BLS Email Subscription Service and did not receive your email subscription, contact BLS by doing the following:
