Occupational Safety and Health Changes to NAICS and SOC

BLS occupational injury, illness, and fatality statistics will adopt new industry and occupation classification systems beginning in 2004. In September 2004, BLS will publish the 2003 Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries using NAICS and SOC. In December 2004, BLS will publish summary estimates from the 2003 Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses using NAICS. In March 2005, BLS will publish detailed case and demographic estimates from the 2003 Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses using NAICS and SOC.
