Include workers whose job requires both knowledge and use of scientific and mathematical theory and involves assisting physical and life scientists in laboratory and production activities. Requires specialized education or training in some aspect of science or technology. Work under the direct supervision of scientists by assisting them in laboratory or production functions usually described as "routine" at the professional level. Include Mathematical Technicians, Nuclear, and Petroleum Technicians.
