In 2014, the broadest measure of labor underutilization, designated U-6, was 12.6 percent in Alabama, not significantly different from the 12.0-percent rate for the nation.

The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the South increased 0.3 percent in April, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today.
