PALO PINTO COUNTY, TX
NATIONAL COMPENSATION SURVEY, JANUARY 2007
The Palo Pinto County, TX, National Compensation Survey (NCS) bulletin is now available.
The survey includes wage data for up to 22 major occupational groups with additional detail
for occupations within each group. Wages are available by worker characteristics including
full-time or part-time status, union or nonunion status, and time or incentive pay. Average
rates of pay are available for levels of work within an occupation based on knowledge, job
controls and complexity, contacts, and physical environment.
The locality wage publications have undergone a number of significant changes. The
January 2007 Palo Pinto County survey incorporates the following changes:
1. Use of the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system and the 2002 North
American Industry Classification System (NAICS)
2. An expanded scope of establishments, lowering the minimum establishment size for
private industry from 50 workers to 1 worker
3. Imputation for temporary non-response situations
4. Benchmarking of estimated employment
5. Redesigned tables, to reflect the new classification system and to emphasize
work levels
